The SAT is a standardized test for most college admissions in the United States developed, owned and published by the College Board, a nonprofit organization in the United States. It was formerly scored by the Educational Testing Service and still administers the exam till date. The test is intended to assess a student's readiness for college. First introduced in 1926 as Scholastic Aptitude Test,ithas then modified its name and scoring several times afterwards. Now it is recognized as Scholastic Assessment Test.
